Eligibility: Victims of Domestic Violence and sexual assault are eligible.
SERVICES: The Diane Peppler Shelther serves Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac counites and was establisehd to offer fellowship, beds, warmth, transportation, food, clothing, time to think in a secure atmoshere. It offers shelter, a 24 hour hotline, crisis support counseling, emergency medical services, legal and finanical referrals and advocacy for victimes of family violence and their children. There are Outreach workers located in the department of Human Services offices on Luce and Mackinac counties. As a prevention service we offer an Independent Living Skills program for females between the ages of 15-20. Parent Nurturing programs and Rape Crisis are also offered.
