SERVICES: Maajtaag Mnobmaabzid is a program designed to assist
pregnant Women and her family. Maternal Child Health Nurse, referral,
Follow-up, and after care services.
Maternal and Infant Support Services Program
is for Medicaid eligible families. Native American families receive priority
for available services. Home and office visits to pregnant women and babies
0-1 year old. Culturally appropriate and sensitive nurses, nutritionists and
social workers are just a phone call away. 248-3204.

SERVICES: Personal and Family Health Services provide health
promotion, prevention services and health maintenance services for individuals
and families with special emphasis on the following:
Mich-Care: Medicaid program that helps pay for medical care for
pregnant women and children.
Maternal Support Services: Parenting education and support,
Lamaze, parenting, nutritional and social consultations, transportation.
Infant Support Services: Family centered counseling and education
and services provided in the home by a team of health care specialists.
WIC Nutrition Program: Supplemental Nutrition program which
provides coupons for certain foods, education, counseling and breast-feeding
support.
Breast-feeding Education and Support: Information on how to
breast-feed your baby, milk expression and use of breast pump, breast-feeding
and returning to work taught by a certified Lactation Consultant.
Reproductive Health: Counseling, assessment, medication, birth
control information.
Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening: Pap, pelvic and breast
exams for women 40 years and older.
HIV/AIDS: Anonymous HIV/AIDS testing.
Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Oral Polio, DPT, TD,
Varicella, DTAP, IPV, HIB, Hepatitis B and Influenza vaccine.
Children’s Special Health Care: Medical and financial assistance
for children with medical or special conditions.
Well Child Health Screening: Well Child physical and developmental
assessment, vision and hearing tests, blood tests, height, weight and immunizations.

SERVICES: Free pregnancy tests, baby clothes, maternity clothes,
and baby furnishings. Peer counseling and information on adoption,
abortion, and parenting. Post abortion support services are available
as well as an ongoing Mom's Group which meets weekly for development of
parenting and personal growth skills.

SERVICES: A child may be eligible for a free evaluation.
If a child has a health condition that will be long lasting, has a disability,
or is developing slowly, there are a wide range of services available.
In this program professionals work with parents in their child’s early
phases of growth and development.
