Services:
*The goal of the program is to provide information to home owners and tenants which will enable them to manage their energy use more efficiently.
*The RCS energy consultant could put you in touch with available sources of financial assistance (such as zero interest loans, low-interest loans and weatherization grants for installing more costly energy conservation measures.
*Community support groups alleviate fears by explaining that RCS is designed to help people reduce the expense of rising fuel prices by using energy more wisely. Through local contacts it can be made clear that many ways are conveniently available to pay for energy improvements, including free weatherization and a waiver of the nominal home analysis fee
*Customers receiving energy assistance payments through federal, state, or local programs are given priority scheduling of analyses.

SERVICES: Offers temporary emergency shelter to homeless individuals in Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac Counties. Contact Jenni Williams, Case Manager/Resident's Activities Coordinator, Monday thru Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Sault Ste. Marie Housing Commission. Appointments are preferred. ID and Social Security Card are preferred, but not required. Guests of the program must be eligible for services. Assistance is available to 24 hours a day, 7days a week.
