SERVICES:Medicaid, Healthy Kids, State Medical Program
Medicaid is available to seniors aged 65 and older, individuals under age 21, and disabled persons age 22 thru 64 and meet the income and asset limits; Healthy Kids is available to pregnant women and children under the age 19 and meet income guidelines; State Medical Program is available for individuals who do not meet the criteria for Medicaid and/or Healthy Kids. A very strict income and asset limit apply. Both Medicaid and Healthy Kids provide comprehensive medical coverage for office calls, hospitalization, prescriptions and some optical and dental services. State Medical covers most out-patient medical services and prescription, but does not cover in-patient hospitalization or dental services.

Dentist throughout Michigan have volunteered to donate comprehensive dental care to people of all ages who, because of a serious disability, advanced age or medical problems, lack enough income to pay for needed dental care. Financial eligibility requirements are flexible.

SERVICES: Take Five
Take Five is a social Program designed for adults with memory loss or confusion. A time for the Caregiver to take a break and an opportunity to run errands, schedule appointments. Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. a caring team will ensure the well being and encourage positive self-regard of the person attending.

SERVICES: Rehabilitation Service-
Provides assistance to vocationally disabled individuals through assistance with physical restoration, counseling, evaluation, training and assistance with employment. To be eligible individuals must have a disability, physical, mental or emotional which would cause a vocational handicap. It must be determined feasible, that with Vocational Rehabilitation Service, the individual will return to gainful employment. A counselor is available twice a month at Haiwatha Behavioral Health.
